Why is Comfort, Texas called Comfort?
It was called Camp Comfort thinking it was going to get easier and better. It didn’t get easier so they dropped the name Camp and it became Comfort, Texas.

What is the history of Comfort, Texas?
Comfort was founded by German emigrants on the western end of the Texas-German belt. Many residents of the town today are descendants of those same Germans. Comfort is known for its German Heritage and large ranches outside of town.

Comfort has one hotel and plenty of AirBnB, Bed&Breakfast places, cabins, camps and more. Check out our Lodging site to see some of them. We are adding more as we go with pictures and a map. 

Is there live music in Comfort?
Comfort has live music every weekend in several venues. 
We are trying to add them to our event calendar as soon as we are aware of them. 

Where is Comfort located?
Comfort is right along I-10 about 30 minutes north of San Antonio. 
It’s an additional 25 minutes to Fredericksburg.
It will take you 25 more minutes to Kerrville and 34 minutes to Bandera.
Comfort is in the ideal location to get fast to San Antonio and the heart and entry to the Hill Country.

4th of July Parade 2021

The Comfort Christmas Parade 2021

Comfort has it’s own Christmas Parade every year the Saturday before the 1st of December. Check out the video to the left as this is the latest one we had.
